Privacy Policy

Information stored on your device

Symptom journal entries, quiz and screening answers, exercise history, and generated reports are stored locally on your device. Steady does not operate an account system or a server that receives this information.

Purchases

Apple processes payments. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated app-user identifier, product and transaction status, and limited app and device information used to validate purchases, keep Pro access in sync, and provide purchase analytics. Steady never receives your payment-card details.

Optional product analytics

Product analytics are optional and off by default. If you opt in, Amplitude receives a randomly generated app-instance identifier, generic app-open, onboarding-completion, and offer-view events, plus limited technical information needed to deliver those events. It never receives symptoms, journal content, quiz or screening answers, selected side, exercise details or outcomes, motion readings, or reports. You can turn analytics off at any time to stop future collection.

Optional install and ad measurement

Steady asks for tracking permission using Apple’s system App Tracking Transparency prompt. Only if you allow tracking may AppsFlyer receive limited installation and app-launch information, device identifiers and network metadata to measure which advertising campaigns lead to installs. This information may be linked with advertising-partner data for campaign measurement. The AppsFlyer identifier is also stored with RevenueCat while measurement is permitted. Steady does not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA), send custom AppsFlyer events, or send purchase events from RevenueCat to AppsFlyer in this release. Symptoms, screening and quiz answers, selected side, exercise details and outcomes, motion readings, journal content and reports are never sent to AppsFlyer or advertising partners.

Reports and sharing

Reports are generated on your device. Steady shares a report only when you choose an option in the system share sheet.

Advertising and tracking

Steady does not display third-party ads, sell personal information, build health-based advertising audiences, or use health information for ad targeting. Declining tracking permission does not limit exercises, the journal, purchases or Restore Purchases. Product analytics has its own separate, optional control and does not depend on tracking permission. You can review tracking permission from Steady Settings and change it in iOS Settings. When tracking is no longer allowed, Steady stops future AppsFlyer collection and clears its AppsFlyer identifier from RevenueCat; synchronizing that removal requires a network connection. Steady does not replace Apple’s tracking permission with an in-app advertising-consent switch.

Retention and deletion

Deleting the app removes information stored locally by Steady. Apple, RevenueCat, Amplitude, AppsFlyer, and any approved measurement partner may retain transaction, analytics, or attribution records already received under their own policies and legal obligations. Turning a choice off stops future optional collection but does not automatically erase records already sent. Because Steady has no account, local journal data cannot be recovered after deletion.
